DTF Transfer Application Process

Applying a DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfer to a garment requires precision, proper heat, and timing. Following these steps carefully ensures vibrant, long-lasting results. This guide outlines the process in detail for a V-neck shirt, but the principles apply to most cotton or polyester fabrics.

  • Position Your Transfer

Lay your V-neck shirt flat on a heat-resistant surface, making sure it’s smooth and wrinkle-free.

Place the DTF transfer face-up in the desired location and secure with heat-resistant tape if needed.

  • Press Your Transfer

Preheat the heat press to 320°F (160°C) and set the timer for 15 seconds.

Place the shirt with the transfer on the press, apply even pressure, and start the timer.

  • Peel Your Transfer

Allow the transfer to cool for about 15 seconds before peeling.

Gently remove the film at a steady angle, ensuring the design fully adheres.
